So today, on the way home from school/Angela's (who Aud now calls "la la" - must be those "la"s at the end!), I asked Conner if he'd gotten Santa's phone number. Here's the conversation:
Me: Did you ask Miss O for Santa's phone number?
Conner: She said it's a secret!
Me: How are we going to tell him what we want for Christmas?
Conner: I already did! (We went to the zoo last Friday with Mom & Dad and saw Santa there)
Me: But I didn't get to! You and Audrey sat on his lap and didn't give me a turn.
Conner: What do you want for Christmas?
Me: A new camera (which I've already ordered - woo hoo!)
Conner: So tonight I'll tell God to tell Santa that you want a new camera.
As my friend Shannon said tonight, at least he's listening to us! (and to his Sunday school teachers!)
Here are pictures from our trip to to the zoo Friday. We had fun and got to see all of the pretty lights. Not too many animals out because of the cold, but the kids enjoyed seeing Santa, his reindeer, and the manatees.
Audrey has the exact same expression on her face as she did last year. She wasn't scared to go up to Santa and sit on his lap, but then she showed no emotion once she got there. Conner told him that he wanted a garbage truck for Christmas. . . that's my boy!
