After Conner's t-ball game yesterday evening (yes, they actually played! I think they had 2 or 3 rained out after the first game), I drove him up to Jeffersonville to meet Mom and Dad. He was snoozing in the back seat before we were out of Cincinnati. Mom was taking him to see a production of Peter Pan this afternoon, then we're meeting again tomorrow afternoon to trade back. I hope he had a good time!

So today was just about Audrey. I took her to the mall this morning to get a gift card for his preschool teacher, Miss O, but we also did a little more shopping there, too (of course). Our first stop was at Claire's Boutique... guess who got her ears pierced?! I know, I know, it's probably too early, but I couldn't resist. Eric and I talked about it the other night and I decided to go ahead and do it while we were at the mall today. She did great - after the girl did the first one, Audrey said "ow" very calmly. She was a little more upset after the second one but calmed down pretty quickly (the sucker she was given definitely helped!). The rest of our time at the mall she didn't grab at them at all. This is Audrey eating peanut butter and jelly after we got home. If you look closely, you can see the new earrings! (Just small silver balls.)

I was thinking maybe she'd forgotten about the whole process, but when I went to get Aud after her (long) nap this afternoon, she was like, "Mommy, look!" then pointed to one ear, turned her head, and pointed to the other. Then she said, "Hurts me!"

I asked her today if she was Mommy's pretty girl. She said no, she was "Daddy's pretty girl!" Eric was ecstatic.

On the way up to bed (after dinner at Outback and some time spent wandering around Target), Aud looked at me and said, "Mommy, I'm peepy!" I was trying to figure out what she meant. . . had she peed? Did she need to pee? When I realized that she was saying "sleepy"! Funny.
